Victorian High Relief

A unique piece of ancient sculpture today with this high relief in an ancient frame, a subject attributable to Edward William WYON; a sculptor and engraver specialized in the creation of finely carved medallions, often depicting children or cherubs at play, appealing to the aesthetic delicacy favored by Victorian taste.
