Antique hand-made cage

…we picked up this beautiful old cage from a Dutch country house, made with so much love and all by hand. The iron handles on the sides are enchanting, as is the upper opening. All made with turned twigs. It was certainly the home of a little creature much loved, probably this little house was created by a father for his little girl or boy and his pet. It has been cleaned, two strips at the bottom have been replaced, anti-woodworm done. Versatile to use, as we have interpreted it, as a magazine rack enhanced by an old carpet.
