Antique clothes shaker 

Some objects are so large and so exclusive that they need a known reference: this is why we have displayed them near a chair! So you can realize their size... but above all answer the question: what is it?!? An ancient STIRRER for clothes. Patented in the Victorian era, this model with four wooden arms allowed washerwomen to stir the laundry in boiling water with soda. Bear in mind that it is 81 cm long!! This example was recovered in 1931 (date marked on the wood).
