Old Saifa sterilizer

The #whatisit column is back with this very curious #ancient #laboratory #tool: it is a #sterilizer for surgical instruments, #test tubes and glass containers for #ancientmedicines and ancient herbal preparations. It was made by Saifa. The three pieces that you see dismantled are actually one inside the other: the #ancientiron were placed in the net piece, everything was inserted inside the capsule (central piece) and finally inserted into the #ancientstove where you can see the hole for the heat source. The ceramic knobs were used to be able to extract the capsule without burning yourself! It is a rare piece ideal for display.
