Bottles with marbles

We are always in the #safethings phase and we propose these #old #bottles with…. MARBLES! They were trendy in Italy but are known internationally as #bottleswithmarbles or #codd from the name of their inventor, Arthur Codd, who patented them in the nineteenth century. Designed for #carbonateddrinks, they exploited the principle of the ball valve; but children often broke them to extract the #marbles and play with them - so they became a #vintage #rare #collectible object … and they are very heavy!!
