Antique naval block

Beautiful piece of nautical antique from the early 1900s; it is an ancient block that was used to modify the tension of the cable through the pulley, excellent condition, 20 cm, heavy. “Bozzello” is a nautical term used to call pulleys; depending on the number of pulleys it is also called a simple block, double block etc. The simplest model consists of an ovoid box, made of hard wood or iron, with one or more slots in which the wheels or pulleys are hinged through which the ropes must slide.
