Art Deco bust of a young girl in the village

The peculiarity of this ancient art deco plaster bust is that it depicts a decidedly unhappy girl. The subject is quite famous in France, in different variations a girl is portrayed in the usual “au village” clothes. In this case, however, our little girl has decidedly sad eyes; absolutely not usual in the depiction - albeit serious - of the other busts. This detail makes her decidedly unique: it is as if she were waiting for someone to console her. On the back the bust is numbered. The dimensions are generous, 33 × 25 cm.
