Antique toymaker's toolbox

Springs, tiny keys, small screws… anyone who has seen the wonderful film #hugocabret already knows what to imagine inside this old box!! The words “return to the general warehouse of Oullins” are stamped on the lid, and although it has never been discovered to which warehouse it belongs, what is certain is the use that was made of it later: a lot of spare parts for toys were accumulated there! There were also two glass eyes… equipment already sold (to a doll hospital). Dimensions: 22 x 12 cm, height 13 cm.
