Antique Butcher's Hook for Cold Cuts
As you know, they are highly sought after along with the old butcher's blocks... these are the old meat hooks, more specifically the old salami hangers. Here it is for you this evening, coming from Belgium, very old but repainted about twenty years ago, directly from a disused butcher's shop with an adjoining retail outlet. There are many reinterpretations: beyond the fact that butcher's tools are sought after in themselves, this large multi-hook can be used as a towel hanger or as a ladle hanger, although personally we can see it very well with salami or hams hanging in an old tavern, wine shop or tasting room. The dimensions: height 30 centimeters, total width 33 centimeters, diameter of the iron circle 25 centimeters. In total, 12 salami were hung on it.
