Large Dutch carved centerpiece

Superb, very large centerpiece, made from a single piece of wood carved in the shape of a large leaf adorned with an acorn: very well preserved, it measures 47 x 30 cm, taken from a Dutch villa. A work of art with a symbolic value: the acorn is a symbol of immortality and fertility. The Druids ate it to obtain prophetic powers. In the Jewish tradition it was a sacred fruit and in many ancient peoples it was worn as an amulet for protection in terms of health and vigor.
