Large carpenter's compass

Beautiful old five-joint carpenter's compass, made of wood, with an iron tip at one end and a chalk holder at the other - complete with old chalk - for drawing on slate or wood. This is a very large instrument, measuring 81 cm when extended. It is in excellent condition and rare to find, an excellent vintage piece of furniture in an architectural or surveyor's office.
