Half doll powder doll

There are objects that those who have our passion really hunt for: here is one, a little jewel from the early 1900s, discovered in a Dutch manor house. It is a “half doll”; that is, nothing less than an ancient cardboard powder compact surmounted by a half-bust of a lady in ceramic, finely crafted and numbered on the back. Think of how much elegance and beauty in an object reserved for feminine refinement… the doll is as tall as a hand; under the skirt it hides (last photo) the cardboard box that was opened where they were When opening the box you can still smell the scent of a hundred years ago….!
