Phenix Inhaler

For the series #ancient #curiosities here is the #iron-enamelled #inhaler from the #early #20th century by the Belgian company #phenix, a famous manufacturer of #medical devices: this piece of #medical #antique is also preserved in various Museums of the History of #medicine. It can be dismantled into two parts, boiling water and balsamic substances were put in the container below; the anatomically modeled part above was applied to the face.
