The company that produces the Tre Spade brand was born in 1894, when the brothers Giovanni Battista, Secondo, Delfino and Carlo Bertoldo started a craft business, Fratelli Bertoldo, which manufactured carpentry products, kitchen utensils and gardening tools in the Canavese area.

With the ever-increasing spread of coffee consumption, Bertoldo specialized in the production of coffee grinders (the first ever in Italy), and from there the Tre Spade brand was born, with which from that moment all the products of the Piedmontese company were marked.
