Bronze Hand Buddha Thailand

Nice piece this evening: ancient sculpture of the hand of Buddha in Abhaya Mudra, patinated bronze, very old. It is not part of a statue, it was born by itself, only that it lacks the pedestal (see last photo for a similar example) on which it was mounted. The mudra represents a gesture that induces reassurance and salvation, as the open hand in front symbolizes the distancing and detachment from fear. Origin Thailand; dimensions: 23 x 13 cm. Weight approx. 2 kg.
