Loire map 1790 canvas Houdon

Inside a dusty drawer, in the attic, among military documents and other papers, here is what we find… the large ancient map of 1790, canvas back, 60 x 50 cm. Loire, Chartres area, engraved by Houdon (see bottom right corner). This is a very rare map - the only example for sale on the web for €300. Very well preserved, hand-watercolour borders. A wonderful piece to frame for an architecture, geology or topography studio. But also a piece to give yourself as a gift to reward yourself and know you own something so ancient and precious, a little treasure.
