Naga Morsarang

ancient medicine jar called #naga #morsarang and coming from #indonesia, specifically in use in the north of #sumatra. The upper part is made of water #buffalo horn, richly carved and presents a specific #iconography that brings #magical powers to the medicine placed inside. The representation is that of the Morsarang or #seaserpent of the underground #magicworld that is ridden by four men, the fifth is directly on the snake's tongue. Production #70s
