Inferno Seminar Panel

I love this. It is certainly extremely #gothic and scary; this #ancient #religious #panel from an ancient Dutch #religiousseminary and depicting #hell. Titled #dehel; its #iconography is truly terrifying: the writing "Go cursed to Hell!" welcomes a large group of desperate people at the mercy of snakes, flames, pain. The sword of God, enclosed in the triangle - a symbol that later also became #masonic - strikes them from above. Dimensions 48 x 35 cm, early 1900s.
