#ancient #tribalart tonight with these #brass figures: the #djembe player and six #plates used by the #ashanti that served as #weights to weigh gold!!!. Truly an exceptional lot, valuable, both for #cabinetdescuriosites and for the #africanart #collection. The weights have traces of glue on the back because they had been framed in a showcase in the 60s.
