Early twentieth century washboard

Nice piece of #antique tonight from Holland; large #antique #laundress table from the early #twentieth century with a knurled iron top to better brush the clothes, wooden structure, dimensions 59 x 39 cm. The part with the "feet" went downwards (towards the water) while the closed part is slightly curved precisely because it was kept resting on the abdomen of the #laundress who, bent forward, rubbed and rinsed the clothes. The area where the metal plate is not used to put the brush and soap. Excellent recovery for #antique #brocante #furniture in a #countrychic context.
