Silkworm breeding spinning mill thermometer

CHICCA unobtainable.. ancient thermometer used for breeding silkworms, from an old Belgian spinning mill, in Reamur units (used before Celsius) as you can see it is handmade - very early 1900s - and it indicates the birth temperature (naissance) of the silkworms; it is 29 cm long, in wood and glass, it was hung in the room dedicated to the "nursery" before the rooms with all the old machines. A piece of history, not working but decorative, among other things also history of our places, of our great-grandmothers, who went to the spinning mill as children, with their little fingers to unravel the thread from the cocoon.
